I've come to a place in my life where I am just ready to devote time and love to one person, and build a life with someone. I know this might be a long one compared to others, but after running the gauntlet of relationships as I have, I know a lot about what I definitely want to find in a person, and what I dont... if by the end of reading this, you still want to get to know me more, then that sounds like a good start :-) I am looking for a long term relationship; casual dating and/or friends with benefits isnt my thing. I dont want to be jerked around, and am looking for something serious; I want to settle down (hopefully for good). I am 27 years old, and a single mom of 2 boys. You must love kids, and also want one or two of your own, as I would love to build a family WITH someone. I hope to find someone who dreams of being an actively participating father. I always wanted a big family, and would really love to meet someone who wants their own children, could love my children as his own, and also be open to the idea of adoption. I will be the first to admit that my life can be complicated sometimes, but friends keep telling me that there IS a man out there with a heart big enough to take this all on, and I'm just trying to find him... I believe in being genuine, and honest with the person that I am building a relationship with. You must be patient and understanding, as I cannot just go out any night that I want. I really want to find someone who I can be friends with, as well as be in a romantic relationship with... someone who for a lack of sounding too over the top, can be my "other" half. I believe that a successful relationship depends on strong communication and trust. I like doing things outdoors, and can be adventurous, but can also be very much a homebody too at times. Especially through the colder months, I find that we most often hang out at home, and do stuff indoors. But when the weather is nice, I like to go for a walk almost every day if I can. I am also currently in school working on my bachelors in graphic design, so it would be great if you could appreciate art and creativity, and even being will to go to an art museum or exhibit once in a while would be great. I would love to be partnered with someone who can think outside of the box, and who will challenge me and my creative abilities :-) I consider myself to be a very open minded person, and very laid back and easy going (for the most part, but every one has their moments, right?). I have been told time and time again that I am a good listener, but I also need someone who is willing to listen to me too. I am a pretty affectionate person, but in no way am I clingy; I have my own life, and you do too... we should be able to each do our own thing, as well as things together. One thing worth mentioning that is pretty important to me, is my fairly "green/crunchy" lifestyle. I recycle as much as possible, take great care in my energy usage in our home, and also getting things for the house second hand... if these are all things that you dont care at all about, then you arent the guy for me. I hope to live as self-sustaining a life as possible, and I need for my partner to be open to that, and want to be a willing participant. I really enjoy going to farmers markets, learning new things about how to do things, and I like re-using things, re-purposing things... nothing like a little bit of elbow grease, and something you got for free... and voila!! Please be 5'9"ish or taller (I know its a somewhat vain thing, but I would like to be with someone at least a little bit taller than me), and you dont need to be a "pretty boy" who spends a good hour getting ready in the morning, because I certainly dont, but please be fairly fit, as I like to get out and do active things, especially in the nice weather. Clarification tho, I *dont* go to the gym, so I'm not necessarily looking for someone who does. Healthy eater, good hygene... all those things :-) No smoking, no drugs, and mostly no drinking, once in a while a beer, or margherita in the summer :-) Bottom line, I am very down to earth, and hope to find someone who is as well.
